Shipping Package for Arrival

Unread post by mom2clr »

Hi,

I have been trying to find this information on every board possible.

I want to ship a box with breakfast and baby items prior to our arrival at POFQ on 1/16.

1) how do I address the box?
2) which method should I choose? (i.e. ups, usps, fedex?)
30 will they hold the box for me until my arrival date?

Thank you in advance!

Please see the Resort Services page right here on this site which should tell you all you need. Which carrier you use is up to you, any should be able to deliver. I suggest not sending it too far in advance of your arrival date though - if they need to look after it for any more than a week would be asking for trouble! :)

Hope you enjoy your stay,

A.

Actually, I was there last December and talked to the resort directly, and this is the way they told me to address packages ...

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Qtr
c/o Guest: YOUR NAME (Res #XXXXXXXX)
2201 Orleans Drive
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
United States
Phone: 407-934-5000

OR

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
c/o Guest: YOUR NAME (Res #XXXXXXXX)
2201 Orleans Drive
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
United States
Phone: 407-934-5000

My packages (shipped to FQ) arrived perfectly and were waiting for me, but worth noting that the main package storage is at Riverside, so if you're picking up at FQ it may take them a while to bring them over from Riverside. :)

Hope that helps!

That's correct for couriers, but for US postal deliveries they prefer the PO Box number as the post office does not deliver separately to each of the resorts. The street address will still work fine though, but postal items just get delivered to the central sorting area anyway.

New info! I just spoke to Port Orleans Riverside a few minutes ago. They're saying they now prefer you to list your name and arrival date (rather than name and reservation number).

Yes, name and arrival date is what I recommend too (see http://www.portorleans.org/services.php#Mail). Thanks for the update.
