Refurbishment work commences on Alligator Bayou building 36

Unread post by The Sassagoula Sentinel »

Room refurbishment work commences this week on the first of the sixteen Alligator Bayou Lodges (building 36, which is due to be completed around 13 November). Buildings 37, 38 and 39 will follow at approximately two-weekly intervals, with all of these first four buildings being completed by 16 December in time for the busy Christmas period.

Note: The new Alligator Bayou rooms WILL still feature an extra bed option for a fifth person to sleep in the room, but rather than the previous trundle bed arrangement (which presumably would not work as well with the new queen-size beds) there will be a new murphy-style bed which will pull down from the wall beneath the TV.

After Christmas, work will shift back over to the two remaining Magnolia Bend mansion buildings, Oak Manor and then Parterre Place, both of which will be completely converted to feature the brand new Royal Rooms. Oak Manor will reopen by 17 February, and Parterre Place just over a month later. Once those are fully complete, the rest of Alligator Bayou will be refurbished.
