We were there the week of Halloween. I can't what to plan another trip back. It was quiet and I had read that French Quarter is quieter but I had NO noise issues. Which you expect some... I mean Disney world... all the kids! Our room was absolutely gorgeous. We were in a Royal Room (standard: no view) in the Oak Manor Section. Staff (everyone, even the wonderful young lady who was cleaning the grounds around the pool next to our room) was beyond friendly and helpful. They went ABOVE and BEYOND to me as what is expected. I've worked at several hotels in my life and I can not say enough about our wonderful experience. My son and daughter were in the Halloween Costume contest but in two different age divisions. My son 6 won 1st Place got a picture frame, and plush Mickey with a Pin that said "Riverside 2012 Costume Contest 1st Place". My Daughter is 5 was in the younger division. She only got second place and only received the Pin that said "Riverside 2012 Costume Contest 2nd Place" She was upset. I told her its OK! You still WON! We'll get you a Mickey just like his and put the pin on it. As I was giving her a hug, A few cast members had walked over giving her a plush Mickey, and said "Shhhh, you didn't see this". She was sooo happy started dancing with her Mickey and it put a smile on her face that I could NEVER have bought. I think that went way above and beyond their call of duty. We've been home almost 2 weeks now and she still walking around with her Mickey telling everyone the story. Every time they would impress me with a service or something I would think Wow how wonderful, it wouldn't end there. They kept out doing themselves over and over everyday. Making our 1st visit one we'll never forget and we are now counting down till we can return.

Another side note the property has AMAZING photo areas... Fountain.. Gazebos, River, I mean PERFECT. So take some time for some beautiful pictures. Some of my favorites from the trip are the ones I took of my kids around the POR property. Here's one at the Gazebo at Oak Mannor. ( I did photoshop some gliz in it but the original is just a pretty. Also there is a fountain near this gazebo, BREATHTAKING Photos by it and get the Mansion style building in the back of you and the fountain.....)

Awww wow how gorgeous do they look please? Beautiful photos and I'm so glad you mentioned about how many places make for good pictures. I'm very keen on exploring Riverside...and French Quarters, with my camera. We visited the resort in 2010 which then prompted us to make Riverside our "home" on our next visit. It truly is a beautiful resort. Can't wait!
