Trial Food and Cocktail Service at Muddy Rivers

Unread post by RiverRooster »

Today food is available at Muddy Rivers [the pool bar on Ol' Man Island]. They are now offering a selection of sandwiches, including: Tuna Salad Croissant ($10.49); Cajun Turkey Club ($10.49); Muffeletta ($10.49); Ham & Cheese Croissant ($9.99); Kid's Meal Turkey Sandwich ($6.99); and Kids Meal Uncrusted PB&J ($6.49). A cocktail server is also walking the pool deck. I'm told this will be in place for a trial period [ending 10 January 2015, coinciding with the end of Marathon weekend].

[Update from Admin 7 June 2015] Just had an email from one of my contacts at the resort, and the Muddy Rivers poolside food and cocktail service has been continued, and there are plans to expand it in the future.

Thanks for the info, John. I'll move this over into the news posts if you don't mind.

Hi Andre,
Please do. Here's more information. The trial period will last through the beginning of January, with a possible end date to coincide with Marathon weekend.

Thanks, post updated. I assume these are all cold, pre-prepared food offerings by the way, nothing they have to heat up?

Correct, cold sandwiches for now. This is considered a quick-service location. There were some issues with the dining plan, but it looked like they were working out those issues as the day progressed. I'll probably stop back in this Friday, will provide an update.

Anything ever come of this trial? Seemed like a great idea to me.

Food is still being served, they've added hot dogs. The server position has been posted, and from my last two visits it is hit or miss as to whether or not you'll find a server out there.

This service was not continued, and I don't know whether they plan to introduce it again at some stage.

Have any recent visitors got any feedback on menu updates?

That'd be great, thanks. I think I need to create some "official researcher" badges. :)
