April 2015 Recreation Activities and Movie Schedules

Unread post by The Sassagoula Sentinel » March 27th, 2015, 4:37 am

The April 2015 Recreation Activities and Movie Schedules for Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter are now available. See the main Recreation Activities Schedules page for full-size printable PDF versions.

The evening campfires will commence at 6:30pm this month and the Movies Under the Stars will be screened at 8:30pm daily at both resorts. The feature swimming pool opening hours are currently 9am—10pm, which should be extended to the full summer hours of 9am—11pm sometime around May.

Special Easter Sunday events on 5 April will include Character Meet & Greets, Candy Scrambles and other games, Easter Arts and Crafts, Bunny Bingo, and The Great Golden Egg Hunt. Pre-made or customisable Easter Baskets will be available for guests to purchase from 3-5 April at both resort gift shops (Fulton's General Store and Jackson Square Gifts & Desires).

Celebrate Earth Day by joining the cast members in the Lobby to vote for your favourite recyclable art creation. Made by the Cast Members from the resort, see their creativity on display and cast your vote on 21 April from 9am-3pm. Also, in celebration of Earth Day, on Wednesday 22 April the Movie Under the Stars presentation will be Disneynature’s “Bears”.

I never knew such festivals and event are organized? Are families allowed to be part of it? I just purchased frozen dvd as my kid kept asking me to take him to theater for this movie but I was quite busy those days.

Yes, families are of course welcome at all of the recreational activities. Disney film screenings and games wouldn't go down so well if they restricted them to adults only. ;)
