POFQ Trip Report and ?

Unread post by svtkmo »

Recently returned from our first FQ trip. 7/16-7/18. Short trip, but very relaxing. We enjoyed our short trip, stayed in corner room in building 7. Had a view or the garden area, unfortunately it was the smoking area. Best thing we liked was quaintness of the resort as a whole. Will definitely look to get back sometime soon.
Our question is this: While we were there we noticed that they cut down several trees along the path to The main buildings in front/behind building 4. What is going on that the trees had to go?
Thank you for any and all assistance.

They quite regularly evaluate the amount of trees around the resorts and cut some back or even remove some. Sometimes it's due to safety concerns, but more often it's when trees have grown too large and start obscuring views around the resort too much. They cut down a lot of the trees in the river-facing courtyard of Magnolia Terrace at Riverside a couple of years ago as it was starting to look like a forest! :)

Returned to FQ for our 25+ stay at this resort. Our last trip was June 2018. Grounds very nice. Rooms nice as usuall
My Only disapointment was that the beignets were changed to a Mickey shape and now they are more like a donut than a beignet 😐. They are not the same at all!! The texture is the same as a donut, not hollow on the inside, full all the way thru. Very disappointed.
Just an FYI u can purchase a beignet box at Food City, u just have to make them from scratch. Its the same box that was sold in the guft shop.
