Live webcam of the Port Orleans 2015 Mardi Gras parade

Posted on Monday 16th February 2015 by The Sassagoula Sentinel

If you want to watch the special Mardi Gras parade that the Port Orleans cast members put on every year for resort guests, pop over to the www.eyesonears.com website at 10am EST tomorrow morning (Tuesday 17 Feb) as site user Darlene (username 'newharmony') plans to live stream it.

You'll need to be registered on the site to view the video feeds and join in with the live chat, but it's quick and free to do. Then, the best page to watch the stream on would probably be www.eyesonears.com/media/mobilecams, where the video will be on the 'M2' feed. [If you can't use that link for any reason, you can try the Ustream feed directly at www.ustream.tv/channel/eyesonears-m2]

If you miss it, Darlene has said she will record it so you'll be able to catch up on it later.

[Edit: The recording is now available via the Eyes on Ears Ustream channel at www.ustream.tv/recorded/58926996]

Enjoy!

Mardi Gras at Port Orleans, 17 February 2015

Posted on Wednesday 11th February 2015 by The Sassagoula Sentinel

The Port Orleans resorts will be continuing their annual tradition of celebrating the Mardi Gras ("Fat Tuesday") festival, just like their counterparts over in the 'real world' New Orleans, on Tuesday 17 February 2015.

The annual cast-member designed and run 'Pargo Parade' will be taking place at 10am this year, a little earlier than in previous years, which should allow more guests to enjoy the fun before heading off to the theme parks for the rest of the day.

There will also be an evening of Mardi Gras celebrations over at French Quarter from 5pm-9pm, including a Dance Party, Contests & Prizes, Cake Walk, King Cake Eating Contest, Characters, and Face Painting.
