hi, 8 sleeps and counting, can't wait, i think im more excited than the children ( 12 +8 ), could anyone give me an idea of the cost of a taxi from POFQ to IOA and UNIVERSAL, i have been told that it is cheaper to pick up a taxi from downtown disney rather then your hotel!!
any info gratefully received.

We just returned from a stay at POFQ on Saturday (9/5). We opted to take a taxi to Universal studios for convenience and were told when we called to arrange for it that it would be about $33 each way. It ended up being almost exactly $33 (+tip) to get there and for some reason was slightly cheaper to get back to the hotel. We felt it was probably cheaper (and much more convenient) than renting a car. The taxi picked us up at the front entrance of FQ and was there right on time. Hope this helps and have a great trip (I'm ready to go back already)!

Thanks Christine that is most helpful, we are staying at Riverside and don't want to hire a car we are happy to rely on the Disney transport we are there for 11 days so no rush to get anywhere in particular very quickly. We do intend on making a trip to Universal so that helps.

You can get shuttle service from mears for about $18.00 round trip per person to Universal or Seaworld

Besure to call for your reservations the night before.
