Renting a boat at Port Orleans Riverside

Will it be cold to rent a boat in mid December? Was thinking about the smaller Sea Raycers. Should I pack water shoes?

Some December days would be fine, others might be a bit chilly to be out on the water. You won't really know until a few days before though.
