As from 2 March 2014, the Port Orleans Riverside Levee boat rental facility has been permanently closed. No reason has been given, although it is believed to be a decision made by the third-party company which ran the service, but it removes one of the key benefits for guests booking at Port Orleans over a Value resort, and a great many people have already expressed their dissatisfaction at this move. If you wish to make your views known or ask for an explanation, please contact wdw.guest.communications
The marina area at Port Orleans Riverside is the entertainment hub for the resort. Not only can you rent a variety of water craft — from simple kayak canoes to 21ft pontoon boats for up to ten-passengers — for use along the Sassagoula River, but if you don’t fancy water-borne entertainment you can also hire bicycles or Surrey Bikes.
The Riverside Levee rental window is located on the dockside just behind the main lobby area, right underneath the iconic twin water towers. Note: there are no rental facilities provided at Port Orleans French Quarter, guests should instead use the Riverside facilities which are only a few minutes walk along the river bank.

Boat Rentals (NOW CLOSED)
There is a wide range of different types of water craft available to suit all tastes, from canoes and pedal boats to 10-seater pontoon boats. You have the freedom to travel all the way along the winding and meandering Sassagoula River from Port Orleans Riverside as far as Downtown Disney [now Disney Springs], or along the spur which leads to the Old Key West resort. Any prohibited areas are clearly marked, as are speed and wake restrictions. Water vehicles should keep to the right hand side of the river when meeting oncoming boats, and unpowered vehicles always have the right of way.
Marina operating hours tend to vary depending on the daylight hours, with off-season hours generally being 11am—5pm and the summer months being 11am—8pm. Rentals are subject to local water and weather conditions, and will cease operating if lightning storms are forecast.
- Advanced reservations are not required - except for fishing and specialty curises - just book at the Riverside Levee or touch 57 on your room phone for information

- Drivers of Tracker pontoon boats and Boston Whaler Montauk boats must be at least 18 years of age
- Guests who rent a Boston Whaler Montauk from the Port Orleans Riverside Marina or Old Key West Resort Marina will be restricted to the Sassagoula River area connecting these resorts (these boats are not permitted to travel past the Tree House bridge) and rentals may be limited to 30 minutes

Bicycle and Surrey Bike Rentals
Wheel around the resort and enjoy the winding paths, waterfront walkways and meandering scenic trails for fun, fitness and relaxation. Whether you want to continue your workout regime or just want a vacation jaunt, riders can absorb the sights and choose paths catering to their skill levels and areas of interest.
Surrey Bikes are restricted to the main pathway which runs around the river banks surrounding Ol’ Man Island and the footpaths between the two resorts. A 30-minute rental should be sufficient time for two complete laps around the resort. Surrey Bikes are not permitted on Ol’ Man Island or on the smaller trails which run between the accommodation buildings. Note: Although the resort pathways all look very flat, many first-time riders of Surrey Bikes find out that there are indeed hills up to bridges, and they can be hard work!
The Riverside Levee hours vary by season, and could be around 9am—5pm daily for cycle rentals during off-season months, 9am—8pm during the summer.
