need advise on upcoming trip

Unread post by winee42 »

I am planning a surprise birthday trip for my husbands 60th b-day. We will be coming for a couple of days with my 2 adult daughters and have booked a stay at French Quarter but I'm considering changing to Riverside. Any recommendations? We have stayed a deluxe resorts in the past along with Coronodo Springs and Carribean Beach so thought we would try something different. (and just can't swing the $$ for the Boardwalk) Can't seem to make up my mind between the smaller resort and the one with better pools and activities. Only there for a couple of days in October so I'm not sure how much we'll use the facilities but hard to decide between the two. Any suggestions, recommendations or experiences to share???? Thank you the help.

Personally, as you're going as a couple, I'd suggest sticking with French Quarter. It's slightly smaller, and lovely and romantic - but all of the Riverside facilities are only a short ten minute walk away. Let's put it this way, the walk between FQ and Riverside is probably shorter than going all the way round the lake from poolside to many of the rooms at Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs!

thanks for the help....i think thats where we're leaning toward. I looked at the pictures on your site and it looked lovely as did the riverside but the smaller size of the french quarter is what appealed to me. Might request a corner room but does it matter what floor or building??
